Soulville and Jay-Walking were two sister record labels in Harrisburg, PA. They were operated by Jimmy Walker, Bobby Fulton, and Toby Young, and released recordings from about 1968 to 1975. They had some early successes, and a roster of good local and regional artists. This story revisits the fun and struggles of being a small label in the capital city. CHUCK RHODES
Chuck Rhodes is currently a feature reporter for WHTM-TV in Harrisburg, PA.. Before that, he was the station's chief meteorologist for about 33 years. He is from Lewistown, PA. This piece was assembled in 1998 for his 25th anniversary at WHTM.
